DRACO
the dragon

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, GATHER AROUND FOR A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR ME ROAR:

never mind that i just roared yesterday,
and that i’m likely to do it tomorrow
and each day that i am forced to exist
on a planet where gold doesn’t even
taste good anymore and hoarding isn’t fun,

CHASING
SPACES

“What is it you want?” They asked, their voice rumbling like a volcano and their hot breath cascading down Kana’s face like a lava flow.

She blinked back at the guardian, saying the first thing that came to her mind. “To live freely. Without fear.”

Kana lives in a world where everything has magic, from the people to the creatures and even the plants and the stone, If anyone were to know that she does not have magic, they would call her empty and do unspeakable things to her, afraid that she would drain the magic out of others. Even though her empath mother and fire-sculpting lover Rami know she is not a danger, the rest of the world does not see it that way.

Chasing Spaces follows Kana’s story as she is forced to run away from the only home and travel into the unknown to find a place she can live freely. On her path she finds incredible creatures, unexpected friends, and the last thing she ever expected.
